Many of our customers have asked us how we manage to keep our price search service free, whilst keeping the level of service high.

We operate a low cost business model. Unlike our competitors, we don’t employ telesales staff and have invested a considerable amount into developing systems that ensure everything can be completed securely online! Our internal processes ensure that your contract is processed with minimal fuss, reducing our need for administration staff (a massive breakthrough in an area where contract administration traditionally takes a large amount of time).

We receive a standard, introductory referral fee for introducing you to the supplier – this is a standard fee that has no impact on your prices. In fact, in most cases, because of our buying power, our prices are lower than what the supplier would offer you directly. Our business model ensures that we are able to accept the lowest possible referral fee, to ensure that you receive the best prices available. Each referral fee is set by the supplier (we have no say on this) and has no bearing on prices. What does have a bearing on the prices you see is, however our buying power. As a successful comparison site we are able to negotiate lower prices for our customers. Our supply partners of whom we receive referral fees from are:

Conventional ‘brokers’ often ask you to provide one of your current energy bills. This information empowers them to find a deal that gives you a slight reduction in cost, whilst paying them the highest possible commission. The problem with this approach is that there are often better deals available – and generally a higher price for the customer equals a higher commission for the agent. We, on the other hand receive a small referral fee, and because you enter the information, you are completely in control. You receive a comparison of all suppliers that quote for your business, irrespective of prices or referral fees and you can make your own decision.
